Take Advantage of Facebook Pages For Your Business
It’s been a little while since businesses have joined the social media party, specifically Facebook. Some businesses use this tool to reach many potential viewers, while others don’t take advantage of this amazing opportunity. If your business hasn’t joined the party, I encourage you to do so. If you have, I encourage you to follow these seven simple (yet important) posting rules:
Here are 7 quick tips (all free options!) to successfully use Facebook pages for your business:
1. Create A Custom Tab – Overall, this option really opens up the creative side for your business. If you do it correctly, you can pretty much customize this ‘tab’ to really show what your company is all about, attract customers, and stand out against other boring Facebook pages out there.
2. Post Consistently – This one is tricky because you don’t want to overdue it to the point where people “unlike” your company or don’t follow your posts anymore because they are annoyed with seeing your posts every 3 minutes. Once a day is sufficient…as long as you…
3. Don’t Bore Your Readers – Plain and simple, don’t always have the same types posts day in and day out. Don’t always make it so to the point. Believe it or not, people on Facebook like to have a good time too and it IS possible to have fun posts while staying business professional.
4. Talk to your viewers and not at them - This means, interact. Ask questions, start discussions, answer any viewer questions that come in as quickly as you can, etc.
5. Post Pictures– Going back to the whole “fun and interesting” point. A picture here and there can really give viewers a nice break from seeing only text posts from everyone on their feed. You could post pictures of your office, someone at your office working, a project your working on, basically anything you can capture with that SmartPhone of yours. Have fun with it.
6. Use Links – This can be to your own website and blog or to an interesting article or website that you find. Try to make it relevant to your business, but if it’s not, it’s not the worst thing. You can also use them to spark up conversations with your readers in the comment section.
7. Treat It Like A Part Of Your Business – Facebook includes many options to see how your page is doing by tracking the page and its statistics. Take advantage of these. You can also get weekly emails to show you the statistics. This way you can see what types of posts are attracting the viewers and what to maybe move away from.
